Things to Do

✈️ Flying over?East Midlands Airport is the closest and most convenient location-wise, but the flight times are not all that convenient! Birmingham Airport is around 45 minutes by car and offers a better choice of flight times. Taxis and car hire are readily available from both airports. 🚆 By TrainNearest stations:East Midlands Parkway (15 minutes by taxi)Derby (25 minutes by taxi)Loughborough (25 minutes by taxi) 🚗 By CarBoth venues are easily reached via the M1 and A50.Free parking is available at both locations. 🚕 Getting AroundUber operates in the area but availability can be limited, especially from the villages. The Haldi ceremony is one of the most playful parts of an Indian wedding. You all get to take it in turns to cover us in turmeric paste! Traditionally this ceremony is for good luck, glowing skin, and a fresh start before the wedding day.Location: Best Western (Outdoor event)

This evening brings together the joy of Mehndi and the energy of Sangeet. Mehndi artists will be available shortly after the Haldi ceremony for guests. As the evening continues, we come together for music, dance and even some short performances!Remember to bring a warm layer when it gets chilly in the evening.Location: Best Western (Outdoor event)

We'll gather around the mandap, where we’ll make offerings, vows and take seven circles around the fire together.After that, the real fun kicks off. Think loads of food, great music, and dancing that’ll keep us celebrating well into the night.
